Dr. José Sarukhán resigns from Conabio due to differences with Semarnat

However, his proposals were not taken into account, since Daniel Quezada, who had served as head of Semarnat’s Coordinating Unit for Social Participation and Transparency, took the position this Thursday.

Dr. José Sarukhán had proposed, instead, Dr. Miguel Equihua Zamora, Dr. Daniel Piñero Dalmau, and Engineer Raúl Jiménez Rosenberg.

“To all those who have accompanied this institution during the three decades, actors inside and outside, my deep gratitude,” the former UNAM rector wrote in the letter.
