Dr. Francisco Sánchez Cárdenas: ‘It is not true that we remain in a state of total emergency in the country’

Dr. Francisco Sánchez Cárdenas, former Minister of Health and advisory member of the Covid-19 Advisory Council, referred this Monday to the lifting of the mandatory use of the mask in closed spaces starting next Monday, July 11.

Part of this decision, which was announced last Friday by President Laurentino Cortizo, Sánchez argued that we currently have a very robust health system that has withstood these last two waves of Covid-19, in addition, there is a fairly disciplined and vaccinated population. , which allows to remove some impediments for the total economic reactivation.

Regarding the state of emergency in Panama, the doctor declared that it is not true that we remain in a total state of emergency in the country, adding that one example is that we are going to get out of the mandatory mask use as of the following Monday.
