Dr. Aybar Hernández, director of the Los Santos Health Region, referred this morning to the epidemiological situation in the province, in view of the development of massive activities after two years of the pandemic.
“We have had three months maintaining figures below significant figures that we have had above a thousand cases and we have kept the figures low; in addition to complicated patients », he indicated.
He explained that some patients have had comorbidities added to the covid-19 disease, which has led to complications.
Likewise, he highlighted regarding vaccination in this region, “currently we are reaching 98% of the population with two doses and more than 80% of the population with three doses; that is, a complete vaccination schedule, and with its reinforcement we are close to 60% ».
He recalled that biosecurity measures are maintained in places where food is sold to avoid massive infections, such as the Las Mil Polleras parade and the Carnival.
Currently 37 active cases are registered in this region, of which three of them are hospitalized.
