Dr. Alfredo Moltó: ‘The vast majority of Covid-19 cases have been asymptomatic or mild’

Dr. Alfredo Moltó, advisor to the Ministry of Health (Minsa), explained this Thursday some reasons why there has been an increase in Covid-19 infections in the country.

He mentioned that the virus is moving faster at the population level. “The virus moves with the infected people and if those people do not keep the biosecurity measures and the people with whom they interact do not keep the measures either, the possibility of contagion increases,” she specified.

He indicated that there is a combination of factors regarding this increase in cases, mainly because some groups of the population have relaxed biosecurity measures.
