Dr. Alex González indicated that trucks with medicines and supplies arrived in Chiriquí to supply hospitals


González mentioned that the first 11 planned deliveries are being received, while coordination is being maintained with the National Logistics Directorate for orders from the central level.

Since Wednesday, trucks with medicines and supplies have arrived in the province of Chiriquí, when the Pan-American highway was opened.

Dr. Alex González, National Executive Director of Health Services and Benefits of the Social Security Fund (CSS), indicated that the trucks have been arriving at the Medicines Distribution Center (CEDIS) and medical products have begun to be received , which were pending delivery, after the purchases made by the entity.

González mentioned that the first 11 deliveries that were planned are being received, while coordination is being maintained with the National Logistics Directorate for orders from the central level, which include medical-surgical supplies, clinical laboratory and medicines to supply ten executing units in Chiriquí and five in Bocas del Toro.

Regarding missed medical appointments, the doctor stressed that the service is being given to people who did not manage to receive their care through calls and the appointment is scheduled as soon as possible, also with surgeries or other operations.
