Since mid-September there have been constant rains throughout the country, mainly in the Andean region where, according to IDEAM, they will continue until the middle of December.
By this situation, in recent days the rains have intensified in the capital of the country where the access roads suffer from stagnant water since the pipes are not able to drain the amount of water.

In this case, e presents road novelty by ponding on the 80th street corridor with 119th street(Guadua bridge sector), in both directions of the road.
Due to the above, drivers are advised to take alternate routes and drive with caution to avoid accidents and congestion in the middle of the rush hour that starts around 4:00 p.m.

For its part, the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies explains that the current climate, “are influenced by the transit of tropical waves coming from the Atlantic Oceanthe occurrence and passage of tropical cyclones in the Caribbean Sea and the gradual migration of the Intertropical Confluence Zone (ITCZ) from the north to the center of the country”.
