Double-decker bus collides with parked trailer leaving two dead in Cusco

Two people died and eight were injured as a result of a collision between a truck and an interprovincial bus, an event that took place last Tuesday at 11:40 p.m., on the Cusco – Urcos highway in the Andahuaylillas district, Quispicanchi province.

The B1M-906 truck with a rolling plate, which was parked on the same road due to a mechanical failure in the Cusco-Urcos direction, was hit by the interprovincial bus with a rolling plate B2T-955 belonging to the “San Luis” Transport Company that was heading from Cusco to Puno.

As a result of the accident, two people were reported dead who were identified as: Ernesto Fredy Apaza Mamani (40) and Aurelio Mendoza Sucapuma (24); likewise, eight injured people were helped to the Urcos health center and later to the Peruano Suizo clinic in the city of Cusco.

The fact was communicated to the representative of the Public Ministry, who arranged to carry out the removal of the bodies, in the same way police personnel from the Traffic Accident Prevention Unit carried out the corresponding expert reports. to determine guilt for what happened.
