The player left the pitch of the Metropolitan Stadium upset at the end of the game.
Colombia News.
The Colombian National Team fell at home to Peru 0-1 and was left on the brink of the abyss in its aspirations to qualify for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The team led by the Valle del Cauca coach Reinaldo Rueda, did not find the way to the goal and has already accumulated 533 minutes without scoring in the opposite net, a figure that worries the coffee fans who are desperate with the lack of goals and the poor results that the national team in the Qualifiers.
Proof of this is that at the end of the 90’+7 replacement, the stands joined in a unison whistle that reflected the discomfort of the spectators who paid the ticket to see the ‘Tricolor’.
This happened when the Colombian team was preparing to leave the field of play through the tunnel mouth of the western stand. At that moment, James Rodríguez, one of those with the best rating during the 90 minutes, responded to the fans with a gesture, putting his hands to his mouth, simulating a whistle and asking them not to boo the team.
James hinted that the team gave it their all on the court and that the negative result was the product of a mistake in going for the win.
The Qatari Al-Rayyan midfielder was infuriated by the gesture from the stands and went to the locker room with a despondent countenance. The more he asked them not to whistle, the more the whistle was heard throughout the ‘Roberto Meléndez’ Metropolitan Stadium.
In the following video you can hear the booing of the spectators towards the players of the National Team:

James asks not to be whistled at, being out of the World Cup at the moment.
The influencers in the stands (who do not encourage) paid attention to him, and changed whistles for applause. They make the players and the Coaching Staff feel very comfortable…
