The head of communications for the United States Secret Service reported that they were investigating, together with the Palm Beach County police, an incident involving former President Donald Trump that had occurred around two in the afternoon.
Members of the campaign of former President Donald Trump, Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States, assured that he is safe after shots were reported near a golf course owned by him in West Palm Beach, Florida.
This was stated by Steven Cheung, communications director for Trump’s presidential campaign, in a statement without adding further details “at this time.”
Hours after the shooting, Trump said in a fundraising email that he was “safe and well.” “Nothing will stop me. I will NEVER give up! I will always love you for supporting me,” he said in the email.

Security sources told CNN that one person had been arrested in connection with the golf club crash, while multiple sources told the same outlet that the Secret Service shot the suspect.
This event occurs two months after Trump was shot in the ear during a political rally in the state of Pennsylvania on July 13, which was classified by the FBI as attempted murder, and five days after the presidential debate against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris on September 10.

The White House said President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were aware of the situation and were “relieved” to hear that she was safe.
