In one of the scenes of the film, the then New York tycoon donald trump appears telling Kevin how to get to the lobby of the prestigious Plaza Hotel from New York. However, Trump’s inclusion in the production has been surrounded by contradictory versions.

“30 years ago (how time flies!), director Chris Columbus and others were begging me to do a cameo in Home Alone 2. They rented the Plaza Hotel in New York, which I owned at the time. I was very busy and didn’t want to do it. “They were very kind, but above all persistent.”
