At 71 years old, Ramona Córdoba Chaverra managed to graduate with a bachelor’s degree from the Cristo Rey Agricultural Educational Institution, in an act that has moved those who know her and has inspired many more.

Ramona, born and raised in this picturesque corner of the Colombian Pacific, faced countless challenges throughout her life.

Like many women of her generation, the priorities of her youth were marked by work and family, relegating her formal education to the background.
