Can Dominicans in New York apply for a Supérate 2024 Card?
The Dominican population in New York does not apply nor will you be able to request a Superate Card in the United States. According to the document provided by the Office of Access to Information of Supérate, the essential purpose of the new window in New York is for Dominicans abroad to be able to learn about the programs managed by the social protection program.
In this way, the aim is to motivate their relatives in the Dominican Republic, where monetary poverty rates are high, to join Supérate.
How does the new Supérate service counter in New York work?
According to information from the agency, a service officer works at the counter. He or she reports to a supervisor of citizen services and is under the direction of operations.
Its functions include:
- Provide information to Dominicans abroad about the various programs run by Supérate, aimed at their families in the Dominican Republic.
- Likewise, receive and process in the Punto Solidario system the requests of citizens with families in the Dominican Republic.
- Also update the information of citizens or beneficiaries.
- Scan the documentation and supporting documents required to complete the applications.
- Provide telephone assistance to beneficiaries and/or citizens who require it.
