The reception ceremony for the ships, with 106 crew members on board, took place at the Brooklyn Army terminal and was led by the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa, the Commander General of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ramón Gustavo Betances Hernández, accompanied by the Dominican ambassador to the United States, Sonia Guzmán.
In addition, the Consul General in New York City, Eligio Jaquez, and representatives of the Dominican community in the New York city, while hundreds of Creoles also gathered in a demonstration of support for the midshipmen, members of the two Navy ships.

Once the arrival ceremony at the Brooklyn Army terminal was over, the Commander General of the Navy sponsored a welcome reception aboard the training ship, with the assistance of the main authorities of the city of New York and special guests.
Later, the Dominican mission headed by the Minister of Defense, the Commander of the Navy, Ambassador Sonia Guzmán and Consul Elio Jaquez, went to Duarte Park, located on Las Américas Avenue, in Manhattan, where they laid a floral offering.
At the reception ceremony for the ships Didiez Burgos and Juan Bautista Cambiaso, the mayor of the city of New York, Eric Adams, also spoke, who pondered the extensive development that the Dominican military bodies have achieved.
