Santo Domingo.—The Dominican government Through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex), this Saturday it urged Dominicans residing in Venezuela to take extreme precautions and stay permanently informed through official sources, given the situation that country is going through, after the capture of the president. In a statement, the Foreign Ministry indicated that Dominican nationals must take all necessary measures to preserve their safety and recalled that, since July 30, 2024, the Kingdom of Spain represents the interests of the Dominican Republic in Venezuela.
In that sense, he specified that, in case of emergency in Venezuelan territory, Dominicans can contact the Consulate of Spain in Caracas, through its emergency line available 24 hours a day, at the number +58 424 209 0264.

Finally, for security reasons, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended that Dominicans refrain from traveling to Venezuela until further notice.
