The dominican government and the European Union held yesterday the meeting of the Inter-institutional Monitoring Committee of the Budget Support of the Cooperation with the European Unionin which they held a dialogue that covered the public policies promoted with this modality.

At the opening of the activity, the Minister of Economy, Planning and Development, Pavel Isa Contrerasexplained that the purpose of the meeting is to take stock of the achievements of the budgetary support programs of EU cooperation in the country.
He said that with special attention to the program “Coordination in the Prevention of gender violence in line with the Sustainable Development Goals in the Dominican Republic (C-PREV)”, which has financing of five million euros (equivalent to about 284 million pesos).

Isa Contreras appreciated the support of the European Union for:
- Promote reforms in public administration and the efforts of the Ministry for Women to effectively contribute to reducing gender violence in the country.
