The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Julian Dominguez; the Interior portfolio holder, Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro; and the governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillo; participated this noon in San Nicolás in the opening day of ExpoAgro 2022-YPF Agro Edition, a meeting that will bring together the main actors of the agribusiness chain throughout this week, with a business forecast that could exceed 1,300 million dollars .
“ExpoAgro has unlimited expectations for businesses in the sector throughout this year. This agricultural show is the largest in history, with businesses in the order of 1300 million dollars“, Domínguez celebrated this noon during the inaugural ribbon cutting ceremony.
“You can see, and it is demonstrated in the numbers, the business, investment and future climate that the Argentine producer foresees. Here the Argentine producer buys and the Argentine contractor who is the one who takes risks and makes efforts,” stressed the minister. .
“That Argentina can stand up and in this way, after the pandemic, speaks of the health policies that the State has had and that have been successful”said Domínguez, who stressed that “the field has a strength that is evident in events like this, which has unlimited expectations for business in the current year.”
For his part, “Wado” de Pedro said that “today we were able to visit stands in many provinces where the economic reactivation is seen, the promotions of Banco Nación and Banco Provincia, the generation of employment and the enthusiasm and good climate are seen” .

“From the tour I took away the diagnosis that almost all the companies I visited have sales already committed for the whole of 2022, with which looks like a very good projection“, highlighted the head of the Interior portfolio.
“Also, some of the industries were referring to the lack of personnel, that they have to find welders and turners, with which this economic reactivation is here to stay. We must continue organizing the reactivationfor example with the national government’s plan to transform some social plans into employment,” the minister added.
Lastly, De Pedro pointed out that from ExpoAgro he gets “many ideas to articulate how federalism is based on the generation of genuine employment so that each Argentine can live and develop in the place where he was born“.
In his turn, Governor Kicillof declared “impressed” with the importance of the meeting, “because it is breaking a record in this exhibition with 600 producer stands”.
“Three hours after the opening of the exhibition, operations for 3,500 million pesos have already been requested” at the Banco Provincia stand, added the president.
“This shows the status of an activity that is going really well and the province of Buenos Aires could not be absent.” Kicillof said.
The governor stressed that “agricultural activity never stopped during the pandemic” and that in this context “the province has been a source of food and exports for Argentina during such a difficult time” amid the outbreak of the coronavirus in March 2020 in the country.
After the opening ceremony, the officials toured stands where they enjoyed articles made by regional producers, visited the tent of the National Yerba Mate Institute where they tried a soft drink made from the plant, and greeted the stand of the Ministry of Agrarian Development of the Government of the province of Buenos Aires and the Bank of the Province of Buenos Aires.
Approximately 600 companies from the machinery and technology sector, automotive companies, input suppliers, agro-parts and spare parts, public and private organizations, banks and financial entities, seed companies and phytosanitary suppliers, the livestock sector, participate in ExpoAgro 2022. insurers, energy companies and service providers.
The meeting is also considered a point of reference for institutions, organizations and entities in the sector, which will also be present with stands and different actions.
Among other activities on the agenda, the Youth Day, the National Meeting of Women in Agriculture, the launch of Agripay, the delivery of the Ternium Expoagro Award for Agroindustrial Innovation – 7th edition, and the launch of the Braford World Cup, among others.
