The presidential candidate for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Francisco Dominguez Britoexpressed that the corruption governmental has reached alarming limits, with levels rarely seen in the country as a consequence, according to the PLD leader, of “inaction to sanction it”
“This government is swimming in pus,” he said. Dominguez Britowho is also a former Attorney General.
He noted that the last scandal on the acquisition of traffic lights “It seems like something out of a story about drug cartels or Sicilian mafias, where extortion, fear and blackmail have taken over the government.”
He also mentioned cases such as “those of the Ministry of Education, the purchase of coal from Punta Catalina,” of which he did not offer details, as well as the scandal of Inposdomamong many others, who, he says, remain in hiding.
“We demand more transparency in the management of the funds public. The impunity can no longer be the rule“, concluded the former top representative of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
