The Ministry of Labor formalized a wage increase for domestic workers, in relation to the income they receive in the months of April and May. With this, the joint year between 2021 and 2022, accumulates a rise of 65%.
The increase, achieved by the National Commission for Work in Private Houses and the Government, establishes an increase for the domestic staffwhich will be paid at domestic workers in two sections.
The first payment at domestic workers It will be carried out in April, where an increase of 6% will be reflected, then, in May, an adjustment of 9% will be made. This value corresponds to the parity year that goes from June 2021 to May 2022.
However, the Ministry of Labor indicated that a new salary review will be carried out in June of this year and, later, another one in August. For the sixth month of the year, an increase of 15% is expected, with this, the 2022 2023 joint ventures will begin.
How were the wages of domestic workers
It should be remembered that the salaries of the domestic staff They are established according to the category of personnel, the type of work and the number of hours worked.
In this sense, the categories are: supervisor, personnel for specific tasks, housekeepers, assistance and care of people and personnel for general tasks.
Under this line, the salary scale with the April increase will be as follows:
- Retired supervisor: per hour $387.6 / per month $48,402
- Supervisor without retirement: per hour $424.5 / per month $53,915.5
- Personnel for specific tasks with retirement: per hour $366.7 / per month $44,253.7
- Personnel for specific tasks without retirement: per hour $379.3 / per month $50,057.7
