Dollar continues without recovering and fell more than 1% in two days

Dollar returned to $39 and ended a streak of five weekly declines

This Monday the US currency closed at $39,240 in the interbank average with a decrease of 0.65%. Thus, it closed lower for the second consecutive day with a fall of 1.1%.

The operations this Monday were for US$24 million, with a minimum price of $39.19 and a maximum of $39.35.

During the day there were no interventions from the central bank (BCU) in the exchange market.

on the blackboard of Republic Bank (BROU) the dollar traded at $38 for purchase and $40.40 for sale.

The depreciation of the US currency worries the export sector, which is asking the BCU to take measures to stop the decline.

In the region

In Argentina, the official dollar ended at A$ 203 for purchase and A$ 211 for sale on the Banco Nación blackboard, with a rise of 0.48%. In the parallel market, the blue dollar traded at A$382 and A$386, respectively, with an increase of 0.78%.

In Brazil, the dollar was operating at 5,241 reais with a daily drop of 0.71%.
