Today the decree that grants administrative and operational control of the National Guard to the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) comes into force. The document was published last night in the Official Gazette of the Federation to formalize the legal provisions that hand over the authority of the corporation to the head of the Sedena, in the context of the national public security strategy and when the head of the federal Executive has his intervention for the assistance of the permanent armed force in the exercise of its missions
