Monterey, NL. A group of doctors from Secretary of Health of Nuevo Leon who came to assess the health of the former governor Jaime Rodriguez Calderon to Prison 2 of Apodaca, they recommended to the penitentiary authorities to transfer the former president to the Metropolitan Hospital, to carry out some studies that he requires, due to his poor health.
In a letter addressed by the head of the Social Reintegration Center number 2 North, Samuel Franco, addressed to the head of the Penitentiary Administration Agency, José Francisco Jiménez Gómez, published by local media, Franco indicated that this Tuesday, March 22, the doctors Alexandro Ulises Calderón, coordinator of Specialties; José Jorge Espinoza (proctologist surgeon), Juan Leonel Arizola Cisneros (traumatologist) and Jesús Ángel González Gómez (security), assigned to the state Health Secretariat, to assess the former president.
Dr. José Jorge Espinoza referred as a diagnostic impression that the former president suffers from grade I diverticulitis (inflammation of the diverticula or small bags in the inner wall of the intestine), and considered it necessary to perform a Contrasted Abdominal Computed Axial Tomography, no later than in 48 hours, to determine the treatment to follow.
For his part, Dr. Juan Leonel Arizola, gave as a probable diagnosis a lumbar radiculopathy (vertebral injury), said that it would be necessary to have a lumbar MRI to determine the magnitude of the damage and treatment to follow, although this is not so urgent.
Franco added that Dr. Alexandro Ulises Calderón, coordinator of Specialties “mentioned his willingness to provide the necessary collaboration to carry out the procedures in the Metropolitan Hospital for the organization and logistics facilities to carry out the studies”, and they agreed to “the organization of the release” to be taken to said hospital to carry out the studies.
It is not yet determined when the former governor could be transferred to the Metropolitan Hospital. As will be remembered, Jaime Heliodoro “N” has been in preventive detention since March 15, as he was linked to a trial for alleged electoral crimes.
On the other hand, the former first lady of the government of Nuevo León, Adalina Dávalos, wife of the former president, obtained a provisional suspension against an arrest, detention or appearance order, which was granted by the First District Judge in Criminal Matters.
