The board of directors of the Bolivian Medical Association announced on Monday that “the strike of the thousand services” scheduled for this Tuesday is suspended before the government’s call for dialogue. The Minister of Health, Jeyson Auza, announced the meeting for Friday at 3:00 p.m., an appointment that the doctors will attend.
“The presidents, at the national level, have accepted this meeting and therefore we want to inform all the country’s professionals that tomorrow’s activities that were normal only with the blockades of the thousand services are suspended,” reported the president of the Medical College from Bolivia, Luis Larrea.

The doctors of the country request the repeal of the Sanitary Emergency Law, which, according to health professionals, is not being complied with.
Likewise, they demand the payment of salaries for doctors who worked during the pandemic, the provision of items on a national scale, the institutionalization of positions, better conditions for hospital centers and stability of social security.
The Minister of Health announced last week the installation of dialogue tables with health professionals and workers to analyze their demands.
