Doctors from Hospital Posadas were awarded for their research work on the disease caused by “cat scratch”, a infectious pathology that can generate fever and swollen glands and for which there is little medical literaturereported that health center.

This disease, caused by the bacterium Bartonella henselae, is transmitted mainly by contact with cats and, to a lesser extent, with puppies, and is characterized by fever and swollen glands.
The Hospital pointed out that it is “a work of great relevance” mainly due to “the scarce existing literature, both nationally and internationally”.
