Doctor Melva Cruz explains the biosafety health guide for the prevention and control of Covid-19 in schools


He said that measures must be established so that not everyone goes to the bathroom at the same time, to breaks, departure time, and thus avoid crowds.

The general director of Public Health of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), Melva Cruz, referred this Monday to the implementation of biosecurity measures in educational establishments in this return to classes, in order to mitigate the spread of the Covid- 19.

Cruz explained that it was agreed that official and private education centers have a “Special Health and Hygiene Committee for the Prevention and Care of Covid-19”, made up of a minimum of 2 to 6 people, depending on the size of the institution. . “This committee is made up of the campus management, teaching staff, administrators and parents’ association, who will be responsible for organizing, implementing and daily monitoring the prevention and control actions of the established measures,” he remarked.

He said that measures must be established so that not everyone goes to the bathroom at the same time, to breaks, departure time, and thus avoid crowds.

The use of the mask is mandatory and must be changed every four hours.
