The Directorate of National Taxes and Customs (Dian), which is the entity attached to the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, will offer a benefit to pay delinquent accounts held with them.

In a press release, the entity reported that “bIt seeks to facilitate and promote the voluntary compliance of the pending obligations of a group of 11,025 debtors (out of a total of 326,381 people), identified by the entity, and who have pending payment obligations in the amount of $1.81 trillion”.
That benefit consists of “reducing the default interest rate by 50 percent.”
The deadline pTo access this benefit it is until June 30 of this year and they clarified that “it is important that debtors take into account that the request for the subscription of the aforementioned facilities or agreements for payment must be filed no later than May fifteen (15), 2023.”
How can you request the discount?
La Dian explained that the process must be done by going to “lThe collection units of the Sectional Directorates and sign a document in which the term, number of installments, periodicity, detail and the value of the obligations subject to payment are established, under this modality.“.

Furthermore, if the term for the payment of debts with the Dian is greater than one yearthey must sign a “payment facility” backed by a guarantee of goods.
They added that they invite taxpayers to “Verify compliance with the repatriation of assets announced in your Complementary Tax Return for Tax Normalization (year 2022) and review the possible inaccuracy or ineffectiveness in the declarations to those responsible for Withholding at Source (year 2022)”.
