Do Uruguayans have a life purpose? Look at what a study revealed

According to a study carried out by the Sura group (insurance, pensions, savings and investment conglomerate), 82% of Uruguayans have a life purposeand 51% stated that they were oriented “completely towards him”.

In this line, the results reflected that the feeling of satisfaction is produced “when people manage to identify what society recognizes and rewards them for”. 58% of those surveyed stated that the ability to constantly learn new things is one of the main factors for which they are recognized.

The data comes from the surveys carried out on 3 thousand people, distributed in Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.

What was expressed by the Uruguayans is similar to what was declared by the rest of the Latin Americans. On average among the countries where the survey was conducted, 83% said they were interested in their purpose or reason for being in the world, while 59% of them acknowledged being oriented towards him. 24% stated that they have not yet discovered their purpose.

The contribution and contribution to a common good is relevant for 43% of Uruguayans. 34% of those surveyed agreed that “the world needs a greater contribution in respect between people”. Meanwhile, 41% would affirm that they would dedicate their time to promoting it.

These figures are also similar to that of the rest of the Latin Americans surveyed, the report noted.

The study also showed that the family is the third point of relevance for those surveyed. 49% of Uruguayans recognized that this dimension is of great importance in their life purpose, 57% considered that it is the work for which they are most proud and it is the element with the greatest contribution to connect with their life purpose.

When all Latin Americans are considered, 46% consider that the dimension they value most is family, followed by 17% who believe that their health is the most important milestone, while 13% choose to value their personal well-being, concluded the report called “Barometer on the raison d’être of people in the world.”
