The National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) reported yesterday that it seized other 344 packs of a substance that presumes cocaine, in an interdiction operation on the coast of Peravia, where he also arrested two Dominicans and one Colombian.
A note from the entity indicates that anti-drug agents, supported by naval and air units, chased the occupants of a boat that was carrying the substance intercepted in Salinas Point.
The detainees were handed over to the Public Ministry to be brought to justice.
Several hours after the operation began, the boat of some 23 feet longwas intercepted several nautical miles off the coast of Punta Salinas, in the aforementioned province.

In the joint operation, two outboard motors of 150 horsepower each, several jugs of fuel, a tarpaulin, a cooler with energy drinks, water, among other evidence, were also seized.
The detainees are being handed over to the Public ministry of the Peravia province to learn about coercive measures in the next few hours, while the investigations are deepened to determine if there are others involved in the case.

The Dominican authorities have confiscated during the month of April, 6,467 kilograms of cocaine (6.4 tons), which translates into the great support of the superior Government, the implementation of new strategies, international cooperation, as well as the strength and interinstitutional collaboration.
The 344 packages are being sent under chain of custody to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF); that will determine in its analysis the type and weight of the substance.
