After several months of interventionthe Town hall of the District Nacional handed over this Tuesday the renovated Los Próceres Environmental Park located between Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy avenues, popularly known as “Zooberto“by the animal structures erected there.
The intervention of this park included the removal of these structures, increasing the lightning and the connectivity with the city enabling pedestrian crossings to guarantee the mobility of the high flow of people who cross this park to go to important commercial establishments in the area.
During the opening ceremony, the mayoress Carolina Mejia highlighted that in a public-private alliance the business group Magna paid in full intervention of the park, which had a total cost of 35 million pesos. The design was carried out by the non-profit organization Trazados.

The architects explained that, additionally, new species of palms and native and endemic trees were incorporated, selected for their low maintenance requirement and their adaptation to the environment.
Characteristics

Every time it was touched it fell apart.
