Santo Domingo.-A tropical disturbance with low development potential continued to move this Sunday very close to the Dominican Atlantic coast, for which the Emergency Operations Center (COE) maintains nine provinces on “yellow alert” and ten on green, including to the National District.
The towns in yellow are Puerto Plata, Espaillat, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Hermanas Mirabal, Duarte and La Altagracia, where heavy rain has been recorded in recent days.

The forecast indicates that the system could cause rain in provinces on the north coast, such as María Trinidad Sánchez, Samaná and Puerto Plata, according to the report.
In these areas, heavy rainfall has been recorded in recent days, which is why relief agencies are warning about flooding, due to the saturation of the soil.
Likewise, the Dominican Institute of Meteorology reported that Tropical Storm Patty does not pose any danger to the country, due to its location in the Atlantic.
Meanwhile, the area of downpours located west of the Caribbean Sea continues to evolve, and it is possible that a tropical depression will form in the next few hours.
