The report indicates that 910,522 accumulated cases of Covid-19 have been registered in Panama to date, of which 2,130 are new positive cases today. Three (3) deaths are reported that correspond to the last 24 hours; for 8,335 accumulated deaths and a lethality that remains at 0.9%.
The total number of people recovered from the disease amounts to 885,429 of them 1,256 new recovered. 10,815 new tests were applied for a positivity of 19.7%.
The active cases total 16,758 in all the country. 16,527 are in home isolation and 231 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 16,511 at home and 16 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 193 Ward and 38 in ICU.
The districts with the highest number of positive cases of Covid-19 today are: Bethania with 84 cases; Juan Díaz (Panama) 84 cases; San Francisco (Panama) 83 cases; Rufina Alfaro 77 cases and December 24 with 66 cases, according to the report of the Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
The Minsa reiterates to the population to maintain self-care measures to prevent contagion and apply booster doses against the coronavirus, since these reinforce immunity, particularly in people with chronic diseases and immunosuppression problems.
