While the initiative to reform the National Anti-Corruption System (SNA) is being prepared, the members of the Citizen Participation Committee (CPC) – which heads the SNA – have been involved in exchanges of accusations.

In the eleventh ordinary session of the organization, held virtually on Friday, Vania Pérez Morales, president of the organization, along with members Rafael Martínez Puón and Patricia Talavera, revealed internal differences at a time when president Claudia Sheinbaum has declared that the system requires a thorough review because “it is not functioning fully.”

Pérez Morales acknowledged in the session that the current system no longer responds to what citizens deserve, and reported that talks are already underway with deputies for the reform proposal.

Talavera accused Pérez Morales of hitting the committee internally and externally for no reason, while the latter ended the broadcast regretting that the members do not dedicate themselves full time to their duties.
