Dismantled situational room of the El Ciego gang

They located 10,200 liters of diesel deposited in tanks, an outboard motor and three vehicles, including two trucks

A kind of situational room managed by the criminal organization El Ciego was dismantled in La Paragua, Bolivariano Angostura municipality (Ciudad Piar), Bolívar state, according to military sources.

The El Ciego gang is currently led by Reiniero Alberto Murgueytio Bastardo, who succeeded Wilmer José Brizuela Vera, alias Wilmito, who was killed in April 2017 in the Tocorón prison (Aragua).

El Ciego controls a portion of the mines in La Paragua, for which they require logistics like the one dismantled this Wednesday. This procedure was carried out by a mixed commission of officials attached to the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim) and the Zone Command of the Bolivarian National Guard No. 62.

The criminal operations base was located in the El Paraíso sector of La Paragua, where they located 10,200 liters of diesel deposited in tanks, an outboard motor and three vehicles, including two trucks.

In the infrastructure they also found surveillance and monitoring equipment (cameras and DVR) as well as a portable fuel dispenser, a hydraulic hammer, a propeller, an electric generator and 15 binoculars.

All the material located was seized by the mixed commission, whose troops also arrested a man who was on the site.
