23 criminal gangs were dismantled by the state security forces in Carabobo during the first quarter of the year.
José Ávila, secretary of Citizen Security of the entity, reported that the armed groups operated in different areas of the state and thanks to the intelligence actions of the police forces they were dismantled.
He noted that at the end of the first three months of 2022 there was a 10% decrease in homicides compared to the same date in 2021.
He also highlighted that 75 firearms were seized and the recovery of stolen vehicles increased by 65%.
Likewise, Ávila emphasized that 70% of police procedures have been placed at the order of the Public Ministry.
“Carabobo continues to show a downward trend in crime rates. In the last two years, the crime of homicide has registered a cumulative drop of 90% », he pointed out.
The official said that in the Government of Carabobo they have a security policy called “Zero tolerance for crime by way of prevention, peace and tranquility of the people.”
