An argument that occurred inside a home in Chupaca, after a social gathering, ended in a tragic femicide. The victim, Danely Quispealaya Santana (32), lost his life in the early morning of October 20, 2024 after being attacked by his partner, Percyval Reyes Huaynalya (29), who was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.

The sentence, initially issued in May of this year by the Collegiate Criminal Court Sub-Specialized in Crimes Associated with Violence Against Women, was ratified in the second instance by the First Permanent Criminal Appeals Chamber of Junín, after determining that the evidence presented during the trial conclusively demonstrated the authorship of the accused.

Senior Deputy Prosecutor Carlos Jorge Campuzano Carbajal, from the Superior Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Violence Against Women of Junín, supported the validity of the evidence that confirmed the attack. The convicted man, currently imprisoned in the Huamancaca Chico prison, must serve a life sentence for a crime that left a four-year-old girl orphaned.
