Queiroz expressed support for the approval, by the National Congress, of the Bill No. 1,546/24which prohibits the discounts of monthly fees charged by associations, unions, class entities and organizations of retirees and pensioners, even if these, by convenience, are favorable to the deduction of values directly on leaf.

Agreement
“I think this is a right decision,” added the minister, noting that the PL was approved by the House of Representatives on the 4th and, now, is being analyzed in the Senate. According to Queiroz, there is an agreement for the approval of the text, in order to release the INSS of having to oversee and manage the discounts of associative monthly fees – practice provided for in Social Security Benefits Lawin force since 1991.
“This type of modality was not healthy [de cobrança] And I understand that the end of the associative discount will be a good thing for Brazil and the INSS. We will have more facilities to focus on what is the main task of the INSS, which is to grant benefits and take care of beneficiaries [do Regime Geral da Previdência Social]”Commented Queiroz, adding that the entities will have to find other ways to charge the monthly fees of their associates.” That issue slips, accept pix. “
The discounts of associative monthly fees directly from Social security benefits have been suspended since April 23 this yearwhen the Federal Police (PF) and the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU) triggered the so-called Operation without discount, making public the existence of a “national scheme” that damaged millions of retirees and pensioners from all over Brazil.
Since then, the federal government has restored more than R $ 1.29 billion to approximately 2.3 million people who joined the reimbursement agreement. The CGU and INSS have already established 52 administrative liability proceedings (pair) against 50 associations and three companies investigated for allegedly fraudulent the institute, injured retirees and pensioners and paid bribes to public agents.
“How discounts ceased – by law and by decision also of the ministry – this is an overcome matter,” Queiroz said during the program Good morning, ministerduring which he made a defense of the INSS.
“It is important to defend this great heritage of Brazil, which is Social Security, the largest social protection program in the world. A program we have to strengthen, because we contribute to one day to retire and receive [do INSS]. So we have to have a strong, well structured and healthy institute. ”
