Disciplinary commission issues sanctions for acts of violence between Academy Champions and Tauro FC in the Prom League

The PROM League has been notified by the Disciplinary Commission of the Panamanian Football Federation about the sanctions imposed after the events that occurred in the final of the Eastern Conference of the Prom League between Academy Champions and Tauro FC played on May 11, 2023.

The Academy Champions has received a financial fine of 6 thousand dollars and a removal of 6 points in the next Clausura 2023 Tournament of the Liga Prom. Meanwhile, Tauro FC has received a financial fine of 2,500 dollars.

In addition, the investigation for individual sanctions against fans, technical bodies and managers continues.

On the other hand, for the PROM League final to be played on May 21 between Veraguas United FC and Academy Champions FC, the Panamanian Soccer League has made the following decisions:

1- Reduction of the capacity in the Agustín “Muquita” Sánchez: of 100% of the capacity, only 20% will be enabled for Academy Champions FC fans.

2- There will be no ticket sales at the box office on the day of the event and tickets will only be sold through the two finalist teams.

3- The National Police will be present and the presence of private security in the stadium will be redoubled.

4- The League’s Code of Conduct will be used, applying the reservation of the right of admission to those who have already been identified and who have participated in acts of violence.
