Director of the Social Security Fund inspects phases of Ciudad de la Salud that will be inaugurated in mid-December

As part of the strategic plan for the different stages of Ciudad de la Salud, the general director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Dr. Enrique Lau Cortés, toured the areas that will be inaugurated next Friday, December 16 .

Dr. Lau Cortés visited the reception building for Critical Adults, which includes: the Stroke administration, Acute Cerebrovascular Disease Unit, Observation Room, Burn Center, Operating Rooms (25), Burn ICU, and Procedure Room. He also visited the central block building, made up of the Magnetic Resonance area, Transfer area, patient preparation and Recovery Room.

“I have had the opportunity to see the progress of what the President of the Republic is going to inaugurate soon, so I am leaving very satisfied, I have had the opportunity to see the entire operational nucleus of Ciudad de la Salud, the operating rooms will soon be available to the population, two of them for robotic surgery and another two for highly complex neurosurgery,” he said.

He also inspected the Intensive Care Units, the Laboratory building made up of five Specialized floors, it also has the different communication systems, the atrium, the new, technological, modern and spacious auditorium, as well as the Outpatient Consultation area and the administrative tower.

“The work of the Panamanian companies has been very good and we encourage them to continue like this, because the country is demanding that we soon have this infrastructure finished and begin to see patients,” added Dr. Lau Cortés.
