The director of the National Charity Lottery (LNB), Gloriela del Río, denied the existence of a contract for the draws to be held electronically.

The official assured that, if there is a contract, but that it is suspended and that she was looking for the creation of two electronic games but that it was never signed.

“The board of directors had authorized the signing of a contract, a contract, which was never signed and is currently suspended,” he said, revealing that the contract was to establish two electronic games totally unrelated to the Lottery draws; it is a lotto and hit 3, which would be played electronically.

“Let’s remember that the board of directors is made up of wallets, representatives of the DGI, accountants, myself and the comptroller’s office,” he said, revealing that this contract remains suspended because they have not reached a consensus with the wallets.

Regarding the sale of chances and married tickets or at a price other than the official one, he assured that the LNB has a procedure manual and this establishes that anyone who has a complaint or complaint must present it to the executive agency or to the operations department. , who will apply the sanctions.

In the LNB manual there are a series of sanctions that can range from a verbal reprimand to suspension or removal from the book.

Del Río also referred to the illegal exchange of bills and stated that there is an ongoing investigation, “but I want to make it clear that the LNB has worked hand in hand with the prosecution, providing information and an audit to safeguard the interests of the institution.”
