The actuarial report of the Social Security Fund (CSS), presented by the International Labor Organization (ILO), must be “submitted to the Plenary Table”, indicated the director of the entity Enrique Lau Cortés, considering that it is not enough that a diagnosis be made, since it is necessary to know what alternatives are left for the entity to come out afloat.
He stressed that the ILO has been asked through the Ministry of Labor, which is the link, to come to Panama and support the report of the actuarial study but also to include in the study the scenarios so that they propose alternatives that help take a well-informed decision.
The Director of the CSS said that there are several routes to give the pension fund sustainability and that the entity has prepared its studies, but that these plans cannot be announced because the institution must maintain a balanced and calm position so that all actors can participate in the dialogue without bias and we can all agree.
Lau Cortés gave statements after presenting his report of the 3 years of management in front of the giant of the institutions.
