The fourth day of the trial of the eight rugbiers accused of beating Fernando Báez Sosa to death in Villa Gesell This Thursday will include the testimonies of police officers who intervened in front of the nightclub minutes after the attack on the defendants, witnesses to the event, a young tourist who assisted the victim and two merchantss that they were a few meters from the scene of the event in the early morning of January 18, 2020.
Judicial sources indicated that, after the first three hearings of the oral process, in which the victim’s parents, Graciela Sosa Osorio and Silvino Báez, a dozen friends, police officers, custodians of the dance venue, and rower Pablo Ventura and his father, another 12 witnesses will appear this Thursday from 9 o’clock before the Oral Criminal Court (TOC) of Dolores.
They will first declare four police officers involved in Operative Sol in the summer of 2020 and who arrived at the scene minutes after Báez Sosa was attacked.
Then a young woman who was vacationing in Villa Gesell at that time and who performed CPR on the victim.
They will also declare three eyewitnesses to the attack suffered by the young man Law student and his group of friends.
Ultimately, four other witnesses to the event will testify: a taxi driver, a young woman who was in a bar located next to “Le Brique”, the worker of a kiosk located a few meters from the scene of the attack and his girlfriend.
It is planned that Fernando’s parents witness the statements in the courtroom on the first floor of the courts, as it happened during the previous days.
And the eight accused –Máximo Thomsen (23), Enzo Comelli (22), Matías Benicelli (23), Blas Cinalli (21), Ayrton Viollaz (23), and Luciano (21), Ciro (22) and Lucas Pertossi (23)- They will also be present, as they have been since the opening of the oral debate.
