Diploma course on the life and work of the Liberator begins throughout the country

This Saturday began throughout the national territory the diplomat “Life and Work of the Liberator Simón Bolívar”, which will last eight months with the completion of six work modules, reported the president of the Simón Bolívar Study Center, Alejandro López.

During the opening ceremony of the diploma from the headquarters of the National Experimental University of Greater Caracas, López explained that there are 16,947 participants from all states and people from 22 countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, and Bolivia, among others from the continent and Africa.

“This initiative starts throughout the country so that we can take on the great task of studying Bolívar, of taking him to the territory, of making Bolívar part of everyday life and generating meeting points to study his thinking and his ideas regarding equality, freedom, anti-imperialism, to national sovereignty, to our American union,” López said.

Diploma modules

The course will have six work modules that range from the critical approach to pedagogy and insurgent history, the formation of Bolívar’s leadership, to his consecration as Leader and Liberator of the peoples, among other topics.

The campaign for the liberation of the south and the efforts for the union will be addressed; as well as, the doctrine, thought, social justice, equality and national sovereignty.

The president of the Simón Bolívar Study Center, Alejandro López, explained that this course is basically a self-training system, which seeks to delve into the memory and ideas of the Liberator, with a view of today.

Miranda in self-training

For her part, Melys García, Miranda state liaison, indicated that this entity has 1,800 registered in the “Life and Work of the Liberator Simón Bolívar” course, and they are based on three key words: organize, unite and add.

“In the 21 municipalities of the state, we have formed the support liaisons, who are organizing the communities, we have 60 communities in self-formation, with approximately 20 and 40 people, and in turn we have 360 ​​systematization teams in the communes, including in communities of difficult access,” Garcia said.
