Diosdado: the only marches in Venezuela are to demand the release of Maduro and Cilia

“The only marches in Venezuela are to demand the release of Maduro and Cilia,” stated the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello during his program Con el mallet giving.

Given this, he highlighted the union of the Venezuelan people around the demand for the release of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Nicolás Maduro, and the first lady, Cilia Flores, and highlighted the mobilizations that have been carried out throughout the country demanding their freedom.

“I have met more than one who says: look, I am not Chavista, but I am going to march because I demand that Venezuela be respected,” he said.

The demons were released

Cabelo estimates that, after the events that occurred in the country on January 3, the opposition sectors that celebrated the military attack perpetrated by the United States government against the Venezuelan people and the kidnapping of the presidential couple were exposed, as well as those who dedicated themselves to persecuting and attacking other people through social networks.

In his opinion, these behaviors show the seriousness of what some political actors are capable of doing, even among themselves.

He pointed out that such attitudes reveal expressions of extremism that despise human life, without caring about children, older adults or sick people. He indicated that these are the same sectors that have applauded violent actions in other places in the world, such as the bombings in Gaza, evidencing a deeply dehumanized vision.

«Meanwhile, it is difficult for the people to turn the page and overcome the consequences of the US bombing. Stateless extremism only has lies left to justify this cowardly imperialist action. Our people are going through rage, pain, even mourning, more than 100 dead; That is not easy to accept or turn the page, they are marks, scars that are present every day (…) we see it on the faces of the children, here in Caracas above all, still terrified and scared because one night bombs began to fall.”

However, he assures that in Venezuela “men and women are committed to moving the country forward and working for its future.”

All for oil

Cabello assured that, after the military aggressions carried out by the US military forces, it became evident that the only objective of the Trump government is to obtain Venezuelan oil and the country’s other wealth.

“Reality put them on the table and showed what the true intention of the United States was, stories of links with criminal gangs, with criminal groups, with drug trafficking, with terrorism, with a number of things. And at the end of all that history and all those lies, it is now public, notorious, communicational and assumed that it was for our oil. (…) That today the laws of the United States say that the Cartel of the Suns does not exist, that cannot be a surprise to us. We know that this does not exist, we know that it is a big lie. We continue working, morale high to continue moving forward,” he stated.

Fake war

Cabello denounced that sectors of Venezuelan extremism have begun to finance disguised campaigns in international media, presenting them as valid and verified information “with the sole purpose of imposing their narrative and passing off falsehoods as truths.”

“It is the same mechanism as always: manipulating public opinion, inflating lies and covering up incompetence with media artifices, while concrete reality continues to dismantle their attempts to obtain political relevance,” he said.

«The truth is a casualty in this battle, however, we have observed that the truth begins to resurrect, to be born and to stand out in the face of the facts, but as the truth comes out and emerges, false media campaigns begin to accompany the stories of extremism (…) all these plans fail in the face of reality; we are the only guarantee of peace in this country; “The guarantee of peace is in the hands of our people and the Bolivarian Revolution.”

He assured that the acting president, Delcy Rodríguez, remains at the forefront of the battle for the truth, the defense of peace and the sovereignty of Venezuela.

Likewise, he said that some sectors try to project an image of supposed fractures within the Revolution. However, he stated that all these plans fail in the face of reality: “We are the only guarantee of peace in this country; the guarantee of peace is in the hands of our people and the Bolivarian Revolution.”

No straw tail

Cabello challenged “anyone” to show evidence of his alleged secret negotiations with the United States government and insisted that it is a media campaign that seeks to generate fractures within the revolutionary bloc.

He challenged the international news agency Reuters and journalist Leopoldo Castillo – who said that “Cabello was the Judas who handed over Maduro” – to show even proof that he met with someone from the US government.

“We can talk to anyone, we don’t have a straw tail, there you who do,” he expressed and recalled that the right has lived in the midst of the accusation of being toads, of complicities, of theft, of corruption and of murders: “not us,” he declared.
