Diosdado: Chávez knew the labyrinth the country would face

During the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the last speech from Miraflores by Commander Chávez, the deputy to the National Assembly and first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, who accompanied Chávez, along with President Maduro, during that speech, highlighted how a decade ago the revolutionary leader envisioned the labyrinth to which Venezuela would be subjected

He described how “with tremendous serenity and spiritual peace… that night he gave us some orders,” said Cabello and stressed that “it is not just any slogan of Unity, Fight, Battle and Victory; It is an order for the unity of the revolutionary force and he asked for the unity of the patriots, of the Great Patriotic Pole, of our Armed Forces… Commander Chávez knew the labyrinth that was coming”, said the PSUV leader.

“The labyrinth; All the forces that have opposed this revolutionary political project (which is the Bolivarian government) were going to come to Venezuela, starting with North American imperialism… an awareness of the historical moment was required,” he stressed and pointed out the commitment they assumed that day the forces of Chavismo with the Commander and his political legacy.

Cabello recalled that both he and President Maduro were in Havana prior to that December 8, 2012, accompanying the Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution while he received treatment for the disease that ultimately took his life and stressed that they tried to prevent Chávez from traveling Venezuela to attend to state affairs given his delicate health condition.

“We tried to prevent him (Chávez) from making the trip here (Caracas), for two reasons, his health; because he had to undergo an intervention, and because we really did not want to believe that it was possible that Commander Chávez could say goodbye to us, say goodbye to the people… we did not deny that,” he said from the Cuartel de la Montaña, where the mortal remains of the revolutionary leader on the so-called Day of Loyalty and Love to Commander Hugo Chávez.

The people became loyal to the process

Cabello recalled how in his speech, Chávez called on the revolutionary forces for his successor in the presidency to be the current president, Nicolás Maduro, and asserted that in that election there was a turning point for the Revolution.

“Loyalty went from being an individual value to becoming a collective value of the people… the people became an entity loyal to a revolutionary process, to Commander Chávez” to President Maduro, he said and stressed that “above all to the people themselves.” .
