The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Diosdado Cabello, assured that the PSUV militants know what to do in the face of the tensions that remain with the United States: «And what do our people do? Comply, our People are not intimidated, our People know what they have to do and are doing it?
The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, did not directly refer to the recent statements of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, who said that there could be conversations with Nicolás Maduro because “they would like to talk”, but he indicated that “there are people who ask for dialogue because only they want to be heard. “They don’t want to listen to our people.”
However, during the news conference of the PSUV this Monday, November 17, Cabello said that “the less we have imperialism in our territories, the fewer threats we will have. “The people will be freer and healthier.”
He also indicated that the country’s international relations are managed by Maduro and that relations are even maintained “with some countries that throw stones at us from time to time, but they have their embassies here and we do not attack anyone.”
“We want peace with justice and we are working for it,” he stated.
The Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace also indicated that despite “the threats of imperialism,” the PSUV militants know what to do: “And what do our people do? Comply, our People are not intimidated, our People know what they have to do and are doing it?
This Monday, the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, advocated for a dialogue between the United States and Venezuela, after Trump said last Sunday, the 16th, that there could be conversations with Nicolás Maduro because “they would like to talk.”
Cabello reiterated the call already made by Maduro over the weekend for a “permanent Flag vigil and march” in the eastern states, from the south of Bolívar, from Delta Amacuro, Monagas, Sucre, Anzoátegui, Nueva Esparta, in popular-military-police fusion, to resist external threats. Especially because of the US military exercises that will take place in Trinidad and Tobago.
“Raise the flag as a symbol of peace, freedom, sovereignty and independence, in response to the constant threats against the country, here we will live in peace,” Cabello warned.
He stressed that Maduro has not knelt to imperialism or any foreign power and that his government will have relations with all countries that respect it.
