The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, thanked the working class on Monday, May 1, for enduring and facing together with the National Government the adversities to which the nation has been subjected.
This was stated during his participation in the great march to commemorate International Workers’ Day, which takes place in Caracas and stressed that despite the campaign of aggression against the Venezuelan people, the sanctions and the criminal blockade against the Homeland, ” The working class has decided to stay in the country, producing and working to defeat the meddling policies of US imperialism”.
He stated that since the physical departure of Commander Chávez, international pressure began against the country, because “they thought they could put an end to the Bolivarian Revolution, but they were wrong, because the workers of the homeland, it is clear who defends them, who defend their rights and they know who will always accompany them in the fight for labor improvements.”
Diosdado Cabello also recalled that it was Hugo Chávez who, despite his illness, “stayed in the country to sign the Organic Law of Labor, Workers, and Workers, a Law that had a hard time getting its approval and it was in Revolution where it was promulgated,” he said.
INVENTIVE CAPACITY
The governor of Guárico state, José Vásquez, was also present at the mobilization and congratulated the workers on their day, “We send our regards to all the productive forces of the country,” he said during the march to the Plaza O’Leary from Caracas.
He highlighted the capacity and inventiveness of the people of Venezuela to face the aggression, the blockade and the sanctions against the country and stated that many sought to demonize this mobilization of the workers, considering that there was nothing to celebrate.
Governor José Vásquez enthusiastically stressed that the revolutionary people do celebrate this workers’ day, “because we have a free, independent and sovereign country, despite the war, the blockade and the sanctions,” he said.
