Diosdado Cabello expressed support «without double postures» that Venezuela has towards Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who faces an investigation by the CNE for alleged irregularities in his 2022 campaign
This Wednesday, October 9, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, denounced that the United States is using several Latin American governments as tools to “defend its own interests and attack its neighbors,” for which assured that it will never serve Venezuela “they will never use it to harm Colombia or Brazil.”

Cabello also expressed his firm support for Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who faces what he considers a «coup attempt» after the National Electoral Council (CNE) of Colombia decided to open an investigation and file charges for «violating permitted spending limits and resorting to prohibited undeclared sources of financing» in the 2022 presidential campaign.
During the same program, Diosdado Cabello referred to the relationship between the United States and Venezuela, ensuring that starting in 2025 the United States government will move towards a «partial understanding» with the government of Nicolás Maduro, regardless of whether Kamala Harris or Donald Trump comes to power.
«Whether it is Kamala or Trump, the United States will advance a partial understanding with the Maduro Government starting in 2025 to stabilize the world oil market, putting the economic interests of both nations above ideological positions. The recent conflicts in the Middle East have put the United States on another board and only Venezuela can ensure such stability, but they have to pay»he explained.
In the same way, he referred to the representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, who in Cabello’s opinion is a politician «discredited»after the official mentioned that the Venezuelan crisis requires «international pressure» to be solved.
«There is hardly a more discredited politician in Europe than Borrell, well, it is likely that Felipe González is fighting with him. They are of the same ilk: González, Aznar, Borrell… they all belong to the garbage dump of history to give their opinions about Venezuela»held.
On the other hand, he accused María Corina Machado and the Venezuelan opposition of wanting a scenario similar to the conflict in Gaza, where Israel has exterminated more than 900 families.
«That is what some opposition figures here in Venezuela want, to wipe out families and entire towns. They have tried several times and have not been able to. The last attempt was on July 29, when they killed colleagues, their boys and people who were passing by on the street.»he commented.
