The Minister of the Interior, Diosdado Cabello, reported this Saturday, November 23, about an alleged new plan to overthrow the president, Nicolás Maduro, in which he linked the opposition leader María Corina Machado and other leaders.

Cabello explained that this operation began in the state of Zulia, where “businessman José Enrique Rincón, owner of several companies, comes into play, along with his sons Juan Diego Rincón Sabatino and José Enrique Rincón Sabatino, who -according to the minister-” “They have links with opposition political sectors” and are in Spain.

«They have direct links with Iván Simonovis (former commissioner of the Caracas Metropolitan Police), again with the terrorist María Corina Machado, with Tomás Guanipa, with Juan Pablo Guanipa and a large number of people who are here (…). “Everyone is identified,” Cabello said in a broadcast on the state channel. VTV in which he did not mention any more names to avoid – he said – a possible escape.

According to the minister, the businessman Rincón met and recruited judges and prosecutors – at least five detained -, people from retired business and military groups and others active for this operation, called ‘No to Christmas’, which intended – Cabello noted – handing over weapons to detained people to generate “destabilization” in the country, review EFE.

The minister reported that the case is in full development and that companies are being raided, without giving more details.
