In Venezuela there are no political prisoners, what there are are people detained for having committed violent acts after the elections of July 28, said the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello.
In this sense, during the usual weekly press conference of the red awning, Cabello highlighted that sectors of the extreme right, after the last presidential election, hired criminals and criminal gangs to provoke these destabilizing actions.
“There they murdered two of our women with great treachery, with much viciousness and malice to give a message; “They murdered a National Guard and injured more than 20 throughout the country,” he said, referring to the fact that in Venezuela fascism was stopped.
In this sense, he warned about the importance of not allowing fascism to gain ground, “so that, in the most incipient phase of fascism, we can fight and defeat it,” he said.
