Diosdado Cabello: If the primaries fail, it is the fault of María Corina Machado

Deputy Diosdado Cabello dedicated at least 40 minutes, where he named María Corina Machado on at least 10 opportunities, to disqualify the opposition primaries and refer to several of the opposition leaders who have expressed their desire to participate in these elections.

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), God given hairassured this Wednesday the 21st that if the opposition primaries were to fail, the fault lies with the leader María Corina Machado, pre-candidate of Vente Venezuela for those elections.

«If the primaries fail, I think it is the fault of María Corina. How did she move for the rectors of the CNE to resign,” Cabello said during her program “Con el mazo dando,” broadcast by the state channel Venezolana de Televisión.

He accused the leader of “playing crazy” over proposals she has made in the past, such as the request to activate the TIAR or the proposals for particular sanctions against officials of the Nicolás Maduro administration.

The PSUV deputy spent at least 40 minutes, where he named Machado on at least 10 occasions, to disqualify the opposition primaries and refer to several of the opposition leaders who have expressed their desire to participate in these elections.

He stated that one of the pre-candidates, whom he identified as a “businessman”, withdrew from the primary race “because the Primary Commission told him ‘since you are a businessman, you have to put more'”, referring to the self-management of these elections.

In addition, he said that “there are candidates who unite Chavismo, who just thinking that one of those candidates wins, moves Chavismo to the streets.”

He also referred to the resignation of the principal rector Roberto Picón, whom he pointed out to be “an employee of Capriles (…) They don’t care about the town, they don’t care about anything.” He also dismissed the crisis within the National Electoral Council after the resignation of the entire board. “That’s a charge, they resigned because they wanted to.”
