Diosdado Cabello confirmed the capture of a new group of mercenaries

The sectoral vice president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Hairconfirmed this Thursday that the capture of a new group of mercenaries who intended to generate destabilization in the country was carried out.

The Minister for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace also presented details at a press conference of the operations carried out, in which new firearms were seized.

Cabello highlighted that this is a policy of imperialism with its elements of action, in this case directed by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Intelligence Center of Spain (CNI), “which is the “who is directly in charge of the operation in recruiting, searching, and supplying weapons.”

“Today we are going to give details about the capture of a new group of mercenaries, who are not the only ones who are captured and the links they have to operations. “We are going to provide information on 71 new weapons of war seized in different operations and their links here in Venezuela with terrorist crime groups such as the Tren del Llano or the Tren de Aragua, or what remains of them,” he declared.

The minister specified that more than 500 weapons were seized.

Among the new detainees is the Peruvian citizen Renzo Yasir Huamanchumo Castillo, who was captured crossing the border into Venezuela. He reiterated that the condition that characterizes the new mercenaries is that they speak Spanish perfectly to enter Venezuela.

Another detainee is Jonathan Pagan Gonzalez, a US citizen, who had the job of infiltrating religious sectors and was detained in the state of Zulia, in an operation in which someone offered to take his Venezuelan identity card. In addition, he confessed his links to destabilizing plans.

The minister detailed that there are Colombian citizens among those detained, one of them being Arlei Danilo Espitia, who is a senior paramilitary commander.

In total, Cabello mentioned that there are a total of 19 detainees with foreign nationality, with knowledge in various areas to commit actions that harm the country.

Involvement of US and Spanish intelligence agencies

Furthermore, he indicated that it is an operation in which the CNI of Spain introduces mercenaries and weapons to Venezuela and establishes contacts with criminal gangs in order to attack strategic points in the country, as well as assassinate leaders of the Bolivarian Revolution, harm to the population and depose the Government of President Nicolás Maduro.

“Until now the result they have had is failure. We hope to continue helping them to fail in this enterprise that they are carrying out, such as the destabilization of Venezuela,” he emphasized.

The sector vice president presented the existing connections between the operational agents with people such as “Álvaro Uribe Vélez, Iván Simonovis, Carlos Vecchio, Julio Borges and María Corina Machado. “They are not the only ones.”

“We have captured people linked to the violence in Colombia who have served as recruiters of citizens to come to Venezuela as terrorists,” he commented.

Cabello confirmed that the CNI directs the entire operation, while the US Government with the CIA and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) “as head” of the Spanish intelligence center, giving it direct instructions.

New batch of confiscated weapons

Regarding the new batch of captured weapons, he specified that the process was carried out in the state of Zulia. “They are American-made rifles, American-made, AK-type, but they are made in the United States by a company that we denounced here at the time, Century Arms, which manufactures AK rifles, is authorized by the United States Government,” he clarified.

“All these operations have Iván Simonovis as the coordinating element of arms trafficking; He has become the mercenary of arms sales, an arms trafficker not only for Venezuela, but for other parts of the world. Some weapons were recently captured in Bolivia and they are all linked to Iván Simonovis,” he assured.

Minister Cabello added that a group of Venezuelans were captured thanks to the quick action of security agencies. Likewise, he explained that in the operations a group of police officers linked to Simonovis were discovered who were bringing weapons to the country.

“In that operation we captured 24 rifles, in their parts. They bring the rifles in parts, here they assemble them and deliver them to the terrorist groups (…) It is important to highlight that in the reports that we have there is evidence of a greater number of rifles that were sent in parts,” he specified, stating that They are searching for that weapon to neutralize any attempt that the right has planned.

He mentioned several members of the group that operated to deliver weapons to the gangs, such as Carlos Alberto Infante, Omar Jesús Páez, José Rafael Odreman, among others.

He explained that they had an operation on the side of Tejerías, a criminal gang, and the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) carried out actions in which 33 rifles were confiscated that were stolen from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.

He also read a statement sent by Interpol on October 7 about the illegal smuggling of firearms from the United States. Cabello affirmed that the authorities know about the presence of weapons in the country.
